Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave on Switch 2: file size, cartridge and performance
Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is published by Nintendo and came out on Switch 2 on September 17, 2026, and one of the few big new releases that ships with the whole game on the cartridge. That matters if you buy physical: you can play straight out of the box, lend it to a friend or sell it later without anyone needing to download 27.5 GB first. If you buy it digitally, 27.5 GB is a mid-sized install, roughly a tenth of the console's 256 GB, so it fits comfortably next to a couple of open-world games. On the technical side it is a 30 FPS game in both modes, rendering at 720p docked and 540p handheld before upscaling to 1440p and 1080p. That is a modest target, but the series' turn-based tactics do not need a high frame rate the way an action game does. Spanish is among its nine languages.
